  • Mountain Marsupial’s owners, Chris and Amy Kuber, met and married in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  Hiking, snowboarding, fishing, climbing, camping and everything else under the sun (and moon, literally!) brought them together.  When having (3!) children, they knew that they wanted to show the kids the same love of the outdoors and instill a sense of adventure.  This proved challenging with little ones, especially in the unpredictable weather conditions in the mountains. Amy, an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive and Emergency Care, had learned, through evidence-based research, that keeping baby normothermic was essential for best health outcomes for infants.  She had much concern, not only over a lost mitten or shoe, but as well as if baby was overheating in a snow suit.  Because of these concerns, Amy developed a jacket that could be used to cover herself and her infant son while she held him in a baby carrier against her chest. Babywearing with the jacket creates shared body warmth, and reassurance that baby would be comfortable and cozy on their outdoor shenanigans. This also makes mom hands free, so she can hold trekking poles, dog leash, other little hands, etc.

The unique 4 in 1 jacket is made from DINTEX (a windproof, waterproof, breathable fabric).  The jacket’s  panel design can convert to be used when baby is in carrier of choice (sold separately) held on the front or back of mom/caregiver.  The panel can also be used for maternity, and can be removed entirely for solo wear.

Mountain Marsupial’s goal is to assist and support families’ outdoor adventures.  Our hope is that by sharing a love of the outdoors with children, they will strive for health and wellness, and conservation efforts for future generations.
