  • With 72% of the Collection Featuring Circular Fibers, Houdini Aims Towards a Waste-Free World

Stockholm, Sweden - January 26, 2020 - With a vision of being the world’s rst completely circular outdoor company, Swedish sustainable apparel pioneer, Houdini Sportswear, is closing in on this goal with its latest collection launching at ISPO later this month. With 72% of the styles in the Fall/Winter 2020 collection made from at least 50% recycled bers and that can also be recycled again, Houdini continues to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable apparel design.

“To create a waste-free world, we need to make sure products are both made from recycled materials and can be recycled again,” said Houdini CEO Eva Karlsson, “It’s about choosing technologies that work in partnership with nature rather than at the expense of it.”

ISPO Award Gold Winner – The new Mono Air Houdi

The cornerstone of the Fall/Winter 2020 collection is the all-new and ISPO Award Gold Winning Mono Air Houdi. This eece jacket, deve- loped in collaboration with Polartec®, sheds up to ve times less bers than other high-quality eece jackets on the market thereby limiting microplastics released into the environment. In addition, the Mono Air Houdi features 73% recycled bers, is Bluesign®-certi ed and utilizes a mono-material composition making it completely recyclable and an ideal addition to Houdini’s circular ecosystem.

“We consistently challenge both our supplier partners and customers to buy into sustainable innovation”, added Karlsson. “In the case of the Mono Air Houdi, we offer a way forward for the eece category which I think is really needed.”

In addition to the Mono Air Houdi, the Fall/Winter 2020 collection features innovative pieces such as
the Puffy Square, an ultralight sheet of insulated fabric that is wrapped around the body like a skirt, as well as the super-light and irresistibly warm Fall In Parka. The collection also boasts a full series of hard shells designed for mountaineering and skiing as well as a range of uber-comfortable base and mid-layers. To view the entire Fall/Winter 2020 collection, Visit Houdini at ISPO at booth A2-308, January 2020.
