Nuremberg, Germany, May 2019 — Südwolle Group, manufacturer of pure wool and wool blend worsted yarns, is presenting new products within its outdoor and functional yarns collection “Yarn in Motion”.
Among various new qualities in circular knitting and hosiery, Südwolle Group focuses this season on the evolution of its Betaspun technology that wraps a man-made filament fibre around a Merino core for a significant boost in strength and abrasion-resistance, especially for lightweight applications.
Betaspun Evolution stands for an advanced version of this technology: just like the giraffe that adapts to its changing surroundings, Betaspun qualities have been evolved by now combining two ecological elements. “Intertwined with nature” stands for the twist of a biodegradable filament around natural Merino, while keeping flexibility and strength.
Jackson Betaspun, the combination of Merino and silk, is just one example that has been recently awarded with the gold Outdoor Industry Award.
