  • Denver, Colorado (May 14, 2019) –

A bar isn't just a bar to Denver based Fourpoints, as they announce today that they have partnered with 1% for the planet and will soon proudly display the logos of six major non-profits in the industry on their new packaging later this year showing the consumers how they choose to donate.

The product line is a first to market using prunes as the star ingredient in contrast to the multitude of date or syrup based bars that continue to flood the market.  More than just a typical snack bar, Fourpoints was crafted to offer hours of slow-burning energy without the dreaded spike and crash typically associated with higher-glycemic bars that make up much of the category, making it ideal for the outdoor recreation industry.

In 2017 Fourpoints were featured in Backpacker Magazine's annual gear guide, dubbed "The slow-burn energy bar."  The spot in the coveted issue landed them on the selves at REI.  After a couple years of building their brand in the outdoor industry they began focusing on the natural and conventional foods industry by adding Natural Grocers, Lucky's, Safeway and King Soopers.

In a move consistent with their short history of disrupting the market and doing business with a purpose, they are now elevating the role small business plays in conservation efforts.  Fourpoints recently expanded the scope of their company tagline touting their real food energy bars provide slow-burn energy WHEREVER YOU PLAY®,  to also serve as a call to action to protect public lands.

(In January the team hosted an event at Outdoor Retailer with renowned wilderness photographer and environmentalist John Fielder to promote the announcement of the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy Act (CORE ACT).)

Using the #WHEREVERYOUPLAY they are challenging consumers and outdoor enthusiasts to not only get out there and enjoy the outdoors but become advocates for their protection and long-term sustainability.
“We all have a responsibility through better environmental stewardship, outdoors ethos, community engagement, and activism to not just share on social media where we like to play but what we intend to do to preserve them.” says Webber.

Fourpoints partnered up with Conserve with Us, earlier this year to launch an innovative online platform that transforms the way local conservancies connect with the public so that anyone can contribute to critical conservation projects. In January their website began displaying action alerts at the bottom of the home page alerting consumers to areas under attack in their area and how to contribute to those efforts in a number of ways.

Putting their own words into action they also adopted an 8-mile section of the Continental Divide Trail in southwestern Colorado that the team will begin working on later this summer.

"At the end of the day we're just trying to help make a real impact.  Without those public lands, protected areas, and trail systems we all love to play in we don’t have an outdoor recreation industry and that effects every state, not just Colorado.”
