• HAT DAY IN THE SUN (Apr 30, 2019)
  One of American Hat Makers’ core values is giving back to the community. AHM is dedicated to heightening the awareness of skin cancer and the benefits of wearing a hat in the prevention of sun damage. Their lightweight and durable SOLAIR HATS boast a 50+ UPF rating and are made of nylon mesh with a polyester liner. Each year, American Hat Makers participates in Hat Day in the Sun. The event is held to heighten skin cancer awareness and as a hat giveaway. Hat Day in the Sun is an annual national public awareness campaign to educate adults and children about how the right headwear can protect against skin cancer, sun damage, and premature aging. American Hat Makers 10th annual Hat Day In The Sun was another success! They gave away 375 hats!

• HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE (Apr 30, 2019)

  Hats For American Heroes was born out of a desire to help the community. American Hat Makers started the program ultimately as a way to make their hats more easily accessible to military veterans. By partnering with American Dream U, American Hat Makers was more easily able to cater the program to the needs of veterans, and were invited out to Washington, D.C. to tour the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and for president Garth Watrous to speak at an event hosted by American Dream U at the Joint Base Myers-Henderson Hall Community Center. Mr. Watrous provided a speech detailing entrepreneurship to an audience of military veterans, and afterward American Hat Makers hosted a hat giveaway where each attending veteran was able to walk away with a hat of their choice.
