We are a new outdoor brand based in Hickory, NC, and our mission is to create high-end products for outdoor enthusiasts. Our company is the wild child of Minelli Group, an Italian company started in 1937 by Francesco Minelli and his three sons in northern Italy.  

The knowledge gained in the past 80+ years in the market led us to venture into a new project named WOOX, an artisanal line of outdoor products. Made in Italy and developed in the USA, we love nothing more than to create high-performing, functional, and well-designed products for you to enjoy now and for generations to come.

    WOOX Introduces New Rock62 Knife

    Hickory, North Carolina –  – WOOX has added another great piece of outdoor gear to their growing range of products, with the new Rock62 knife.

    Following the successful launch of the original Rock62 knife, this latest model in the line features the innovative X-Grip Technology. Gaining inspiration from the legendary Pirelli tires, X-Grip Technology is designed with grooves and threads that help fluids naturally and quickly flow away from the handle. Fluids such as water and blood, as well as mud and other liquids get displaced 10-times faster than with conventional handle designs. Thus, the new Rock62 X-Grip Technology knives offer superior grip and handling in any environment or weather.

    Like all WOOX Rock62 knives, these new models also feature superior Sleipner Steel (Rockwell HRC 60-62), custom fitted screws, and German Micarta handles.

    • An inspired hybridization of classical American and Italian axe design, the WOOX FORTE draws from the best of both schools to strike a perfect balance of features for the modern hand tool user.

    With a silhouette inspired by traditional Italian woodworking axes, the broad and mildly curved bit makes accurately connecting blows a snap, with a beard to assist in choking up on the handle for precise work when carving or crafting. A deeply penetrating bit geometry makes chopping a breeze, while a concave high centerline helps act as a chip-breaker and smooths the bit-to-eye transition when splitting. A prominent hardened poll serves as an effective hammer face and optimizes the balance of the head. This places the center of gravity inside the hand when choked up on the grip for truly sublime control of the tool whether doing single-handed precise cuts or full two-handed chopping strokes. Last but not least, the large slip-fit eye allows for easy wedge-free handle replacement while preserving some effective amount of swell to the knob of the handle for a secure grip in relaxed hands.
