  One of the most popular pieces of gear at Overland Expo wasn’t a part for your rig but a giant wipe for cleaning yourself at camp. Credit the 90-plus-degree heat and dusty campground for making it so popular at the show, but anyone who’s taken a “shower” with baby wipes in the past will appreciate the Shower Pouch. 

  Its size—two feet by one feet—means you can wash hard-to-reach places, like the middle of your back, and wipe your whole body down with just one cloth. It also has several fancy ingredients, like witch hazel water, organic white willow bark extract, and tea tree leaf oil, to leave you feeling refreshed and smelling good at the end of a long day. And the Shower Pouch is reusable; its makers suggest throwing it in the washing machine when you get home and then reimagining it as a cloth to wash your dishes, clean your car, or anything else you can think of.

  Omar and I (Michael) launched Shower Pouch in 2016 to help address my father's military hygiene needs when he was stationed in Afghanistan. My father was troubled that the only hygiene products he could use when a shower wasn't available were baby wipes.  I was working for J&J's personal care brands as a packaging engineer at the time.  I met Omar in 2014 and shared my vision to create the ultimate body wipe. Omar is a phenomenal chemist and quality assurance professional. We pulled our two science minds together and identified what challenges we needed to address to develop a body wipe that was better than any baby wipe or competitor body wipe product on the market. We designed our body wipes to meet the following benefits: 1) ONE wipe to clean you from head to toe (2' x 1'), 2) heatable, 3) reusable/sustainable, 4) efficacious formula that consists of natural ingredients, and 5) has a 3+ year shelf life.  Since launching our Shower Pouch body wipes we've grown our portfolio of hygiene products to include FDA-registered hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, foot soak aka bath bombs, etc.
