ACT Lab is an ISO/IEC 17025 independent third-party accredited laboratory conducting consumer product safety and compliance testing. Specialties include mechanical and chemical testing of helmets, bicycles, bicycle components, outdoor industry products, scooters, sporting goods, children’s products, toys, and more.

Outdoor industry manufacturers and importers are required to meet Global, Federal, and even State mandatory safety and compliance standards.  These “minimum” safety standards are designed to protect consumers, and many set punitive corporate and personal damages for companies that decide not to comply, especially for children’s products.   Having defined in-house “reasonable” testing compliance programs can minimize corporate exposure, alleviate unnecessary recalls, and protect your brand and your consumers.  Visit with ACT lab to better understand the complex regulatory landscape, and help you to deliver quality products to market.

Regardless of whether a product’s suppliers or manufacturers are located in California, if the product is sold to California consumers via brick-and-mortar or online channels, its manufacturers are required to comply with the new labeling requirements. Fines for noncompliance are $2,500 per violation per day, starting Sept. 1, 2018.
