“Garmont continues to emphasize fit, comfort and performance in all levels of the product offering,” states Bill Dodge, CEO Garmont International North America. “Now more than ever, we are building from the inside out with our Anatomically Directed Design and the use of our erGOlast, Double Damper and HeelLock. Retailers and consumers will benefit as a result of our focus.”
Developed and tested over the last two years in conjunction with mountain guides at Chamonix’s Ecole Nationale des Sports de Montagne, the G-Radikal GTX® alpine boot is a versatile all-mountain boot perfectly suited for a multi-day adventure on rock and glaciers. The G-Radikal is lightweight, protective and fits like a glove. This boot is truly built from the inside–out featuring a contoured erGo foot last and G-Wrap fit system that together wraps and secures the foot precisely. The boot’s Double Damper shock absorbers offers enhanced cushioning, stability and impact protection while Garmont’s beloved Heel-Lock secures the heel in place. The G-Radikal’s upper is made from the incredibly tough and durable Lenzi Putek fabric and utilizes the Gore-Tex® Performance Comfort waterproof/breathable membrane. The G-Radikal utilizes a “Foot Sleeve” that provides padding within the boot yet can be removed for quick drying and washing. Traction is secured with a Vibram sole with “Mont” rubber compound.
Further additions to the mountain category include the Mountain Guide Pro GTX, an insulated all leather alpine boot suited to mixed mountaineering, ice climbing and expeditions where full protection is critical. The Tower Trek LX GTX offers a roomy toe box and a lightweight, durable package for challenging terrain.
Rounding out the category, the Ascent GTX is a versatile boot for the fast mountaineer who appreciates a lightweight and stable package for via ferrata, low grade climbing or light mountaineering.
Ideal for via ferrata, bouldering and approach, the Sticky Collection expands for Spring 2019 adding the Sticky Stone Mid GTX boots. These extremely versatile boots are ideal for the adventurer looking for reliable shoes for faster ascents and descents.
Sticky models provide precise footing, yet are comfortable and well cushioned for the descent thanks to its innovative construction and Vibram® Extended sole with Megagrip. The collection features the Double Damper technology for superior shock absorption, the erGo-last anatomical last and HeelLock system. The Vibram® Extended outsole wraps the EVA midsole in the heel and toe areas for great foot protection and grip while the Megagrip compound offers unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces. The Sticky Collection also includes the Sticky Stone GTX, Sticky Stone and Sticky Cloud GTX for a variety of waterproof and breathable shoe options.
